By the own admission of the justice system and the teams mobilized for research at the Eau d’Heure Lakes, it was almost certain that the human remains discovered Saturday morning in the water by the Crisnée Civil Protection divers belonged to Waremmian Christophe Gauder (46 years old) and to Crisnéen Frédéric Pochet (59 years old).

As of this Monday followingnoon, it is now official. The two divers did not survive the night dive carried out Thursday evening near Lac de la Plate Taille in the Lacs de l’Eau d’Heure.

The results of the autopsy were confirmed by the Charleroi public prosecutor’s office. “They would have been caught by a huge turbine present in the watercourse,” adds the judicial authority. The families impacted by this tragedy will now be able to try to mourn the loss of the two deceased…
