Tragic Death of Synagogue President Samantha Woll Creates Shockwaves in Detroit Community

The president of a synagogue in Detroit was found dead outside her home on Saturday. According to local authorities and media, Samantha Woll, 40-year-old CEO of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue, was stabbed to death.

“We are shocked and saddened by the news of the unexpected death of Samantha Woll, our board chair,” the synagogue said on Facebook.

Woll was active in the Democratic Party and worked for U.S. Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin, the Detroit Free Press reported. She also actively supported an organization that brought young Muslims and Jews together.

Detroit police were called via 911 to the body of a woman outside a home in Joliet Place. She had multiple stab wounds. A trail of blood led to her house. Police did not confirm the woman was Samantha Woll.
