Social networking sites in Syria were abuzz with the death of a woman named Rawa Badran, 30, who was shot in the Sahnaya area in the Damascus countryside, amid accusations that her husband was involved in her death.
Syrian local media said that the victim’s body was found in her house covered in blood, adding that her six children heard gunfire in the house.
According to the “Athar Press” website, when the police and criminal security arrived at the scene, the husband claimed that she committed suicide in his absence, and tried to leave the house before his arrest. Investigations with him are continuing, and it has not been confirmed until this moment that he was involved in her death.
The site added that the victim’s relatives came to the house in search of the husband to take revenge for their daughter, but they did not find him.
One of the victim’s relatives stated that the man had a great disagreement with his wife, to the extent that he did not allow her to visit her family, and the wife always complained of being beaten even though they had 6 children, and that on the day of the accident her body was full of bruises.
