There is pain in Manrique Oriental for the death of ‘Olguita’, a woman from the area who was apparently homeless, but who was highly appreciated by the neighbors.

The body of Olga Lucía VR, 41 years old, was found around six in the morning of this Thursday, May 18, on the side of the road, with a naked torso and with obvious bruises that resemble those suffered by a person who is hit

The woman was a well-known and beloved street vendor in the area, whom the residents of the sector remember because she was very charismatic and cheerful.

The inhabitants of Manrique Oriental were frightened when they saw the woman’s body, ‘placed’ on the side of the road, without a blouse and badly beaten.

The authorities carried out the technical inspection procedure of the corpse, without establishing the causes of death, until the Colombian Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences decides if it was a murder or a traffic accident.

The pain among the relatives who arrived at the scene following being informed by a driver in the area was evident. The relatives stated that they tried to help her to get out of her presumed ‘street situation’, but that she did not allow it.

The authorities began the search for cameras in the sector to clarify what happened to the woman.
