A 24-year-old female college student in Colombia went to San Andrés for vacation with her family. However, while swimming in the sea, her legs were accidentally caught in the propeller of a nearby boat and were torn off on the spot. She was seriously injured and was immediately sent to the hospital for rescue, but eventually died.

According to the “Daily Mail” report, 24-year-old Yurany Vanegas from Cajicá, Colombia, went on vacation to the Caribbean island of San Andres with her family on the 8th. However, when she went swimming that day, she was accidentally hit by a single-engine boat.
Yolani’s legs were immediately caught in the boat’s propeller and were torn off on the spot. Yolani was immediately sent to a local hospital for rescue, but she showed no signs of life before arriving at the hospital and suffered excessive blood loss, and was pronounced dead immediately.
The Colombian Navy pointed out that the captain of the single-engine boat claimed that he did not notice anyone underwater, which was why the fatal accident occurred. He also voluntarily surrendered following the incident. The local government expressed condolences for Yulani’s death and emphasized that a detailed investigation is currently underway. Yulani’s funeral is expected to be held on the 12th.
In fact, on November 27, 2022, a 26-year-old woman, Natalia Larrañaga, was hit by a boat while swimming on San Andres Island, resulting in her death. At that time, her legs were torn off by the boat, and she died the next morning following being rescued.

He was swimming in the sea and then tried to climb onto the boat. Unexpectedly, the captain didn’t notice and turned on the engine.
