Tragic Blow: The Unseen Enemy That Cut Short a Greek Football Icon’s Life

The cause of death of the 31-year-old international Greek-British football player of Panathinaikos George Baldockaccording to the autopsy, which was completed at noon at the Forensic Department of the University of Athens, is “Drowning in water”.

Samples were also taken during the autopsy for toxicology tests which are expected, but it will certainly take several days for the answers to come out.

The autopsy completely confirmed the picture that the medical examiner had formed during the autopsy at the site where the unfortunate football player was found dead. When officers turned his body over, he bubbled water from his mouth, a common occurrence in drownings, indicating that he had swallowed water while alive and it had gone into the lungs.

His body had no marks, wounds or bruises that would indicate any criminal act. A half-empty bottle of vodka and glasses that have been sent to forensic laboratories were also found on a table near the pool. OR Security has also collected video footage from the group to be examined as well.

Regarding the timeline of the casethe wife of an unfortunate football player who lives abroad, was calling her husband on the phone yesterday and he was not answering. As time passed, he became worried and called the owner of the house to come over to check what had happened. George Baldock was found unconscious in the pool by the owner of the house who called an ambulance and the authorities.
