For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles reported that there were four crew members on board, and that they had not yet been found, while declaring that the search work is continuing.

“These are the first days and much more information will be provided regarding this incident, but the defense exercises, which are so necessary for the preparation of our defense force, are serious,” the senior manager said.

For his part, the director of Exercise Talisman Sabre, Brigadier Damian Hill, said that his focus was to find his people, support the families and the rest of his team.

“I really deeply appreciate the assistance provided by a variety of civilian agencies, Queensland Police, Australian Maritime Safety Agency and the public, as well as US allies, all of whom have come together to assist and continue the search and rescue and find people,” he said.

According to local platforms, Talisman Saber is a bilateral joint military exercise between Australia and the United States, which has already expanded to 13 nations. It began in 2005 and this year 30,000 soldiers are participating.
