The Times of Israel newspaper revealed that an Israeli military plane is expected to travel to Egypt later Sunday.
The newspaper explained that the plane will transport the bodies of the two Israelis who were killed in Alexandria on Sunday, and will return the remaining members of the Israeli regiment who survived the attack.
The Times of Israel added that Israel’s ambassador to Cairo, Amira Oron, made contact with senior officials in Egypt to arrange the trip.
Earlier on Sunday, an Egyptian policeman shot dead two Israeli tourists and an Egyptian, at a tourist site in the city of Alexandria.
A statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior stated that another person was injured in the attack, which occurred at the site of the masts in the coastal city.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that another Israeli was injured, noting that the Israeli authorities are working with the Egyptian government to return the Israelis to their country.
