The traditional autumn festival ceremony of the Katsuyama area in Okayama Prefecture, Japan, is the “Fighting Float”, which has a long history. According to comprehensive Japanese media reports, at 9 pm local time on the 20th in Japan, when this traditional event was held in Mananiwa City, it was shockingly reported that a young man was caught between two roller coasters and died. Local police pointed out that the deceased was a 23-year-old man, Hiro Nagae. His left chest was hit hard and he died following being rushed to the hospital. The cause of death was hemorrhagic shock. Relevant sources revealed that when the accident occurred, the roller coaster was suspected to have deviated from the route, causing the Yangtze River pulling the cart in front to be sandwiched between the two roller coasters.
After the accident, the event was immediately suspended. Local residents revealed that this was the first fatal accident caused by the “fighting roller coaster”. A female tourist pointed out that she felt uneasy following hearing that the event was called off following police were seen carrying out a young man.
