– 13 dead when club roof collapses during storm
Weather conditions caused the roof of a sports club in southwest Argentina to collapse.

At least 13 people died Saturday in Bahia Blanca, a port city in southwest Argentina, following the roof of a sports club collapsed during a strong storm, authorities said .
“Unfortunately, emergency services confirm the death of 13 people at the Bahiense del Norte club. Firefighters continue to search for people still under the rubble,” the municipality said in a statement.
Gusts over 140 km/h
The tragedy occurred during a skating competition within this club.
In addition to heavy rainfall, the city, which is partly deprived of electricity, recorded wind gusts of more than 140 km/h, according to the meteorological services.
These bad weather conditions also affected small neighboring towns, some even experiencing hail.
