Criminal proceedings were brought today (30/07) by the Prosecutor of Appeals of Larissa against the president of the Railway Regulatory Authority (RAS) for the felony of disturbing the safety of transportation, and for the misdemeanors of homicide, grievous bodily harm and slight bodily harm by negligence serial.
The prosecution comes after the investigation of the appellate investigator who is handling the case of the train tragedy of Tempe and who in his multi-page order finds criminal responsibilities against her for actions and omissions regarding the safe movement of trains on the railway network, according to larissanet .gr.
Three Fire Service pre-investigative officers were also prosecuted for dereliction of duty for their post-crash investigation and a senior Fire Service official was also prosecuted for managing the post-crash investigation.
The prosecution was brought following a complaint by relatives of the victims. In the same context, the Public Prosecutor decided to archive the acts concerning the medical examiners and the judicial experts.
It should be noted that the high-ranking Fire Department official was also prosecuted a few days ago for the actions in the area after the collision of the two trains.
