A 21-year-old Italian woman died last Wednesday after falling near the Santa Petronilla waterfall in Biasca. The police assume a tragic accident, but the father doubts this theory.
The father of the Italian girl who fell and died near the 40-metre Santa Petronilla waterfall in Biasca last week is not giving up. He expressed doubts about the officials’ version to the Unione Sarda newspaper, as RSI reports: “I want to know how my daughter died and what happened before, during and after what the Swiss authorities immediately dismissed as a tragic accident.”
The 21-year-old was buried on Wednesday afternoon. Her father reported: “I filed a complaint and asked the public prosecutor to intervene and assist the Ticino judges.” As already mentioned, the police are currently assuming a tragic death. However, the investigation is not yet complete.
“Too many things didn’t fit together”
Then he explained why he had contacted the Cagliari public prosecutor’s office on Tuesday morning: “Since October, our daughter had changed, too many things no longer fit together. She had ended up in strange circles, three days before she told us that she wanted to leave him (her boyfriend, ed.) He invited her to this trip. »
The father recalled that at the time of the fall, which happened around 7:30 p.m., the young woman was with her boyfriend. He went on to say that the 21-year-old, who was enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture at Milan Polytechnic, had recently moved to Como.
“She has lost 25 kilos”
The father told the newspaper: “Everything was fine until last October, then she met a 24-year-old man and things started to change. She had lost 50 pounds and we believe she was involved with drugs as well.”
The changes worried her parents: «We believe that she got into a circle of very rich people who picked her up in limousines and other expensive cars and took her to luxury hotels. It was a situation that led my ex-wife to put a private investigator on her in April.”
In the last few days “she had said she wanted to leave Como and the house she shared with the boy”. Shortly thereafter, the 24-year-old invited her to the hike to the waterfall, which ended fatally for her.
