Traffic towards Flanders from the Express route was no longer possible at the start of Wednesday followingnoon.
All vehicles coming from Mouscron were directly diverted towards the roads of Lille/Ghent.

On the section of the RN58 on the Flanders side, two trucks collided: one registered in England and the other in Belgium.
The accident left three victims: the 54-year-old English driver, the 31-year-old Belgian driver stuck for a moment in his compressed cabin. Next to him was an 18-year-old passenger… who was thrown from the cabin by the impact.
Three ambulances evacuated the three victims to Tournai, Mouscron and Courtrai. None of the three victims is in danger.

Firefighters from the Wapi rescue zone intervened on site, namely an officer, a multifunction pumper with 6 men, two markers with two men mobilized per vehicle and a tanker truck with two firefighters to clean the road.
