Sharjah: 953 minor road accidents took place on the streets of Sharjah Emirate during the festive season. This is according to the reports received by Rafid Automotive Solutions. Carelessness and other traffic violations are the main causes of these accidents. Most of the accidents were collisions between vehicles on the roads. 786 minor road accidents were reported through the Rafid call center on the streets of Sharjah Emirate. 167 accidents were also reported through the company. 386 requests for road assistance were received. Everything was handled by the patrol team stationed on the roads of various cities and areas of the emirate. The highest number of accidents was recorded on the 20th of this month.
Safety should be prioritized
Abdulrahman Al Shamsi, Assistant Director of RSA Division at Rafid Automotive Solutions, said that drivers should drive responsibly on the roads. A total of 908 calls came to the company’s control center for various purposes. These calls were for reporting traffic accidents, requests for roadside assistance and other enquiries. Help was sought for refueling, replacing tires and batteries, and towing broken-down vehicles to workshops. Al Shamsi said that all Rafid customers can easily request and benefit from these services provided by experts. The Rafid Smart application accessible on all major smartphone platforms can be used for this.
