The Donghae Expressway, which connects Okgye and the East Sea, which had been controlled by forest fires, resumed traffic on the 6th, following two days.
The Korea Expressway Corporation announced that the 14.9km section between Okgye IC and Donghae IC on the Donghae Expressway had been lifted from 10:30 am on the same day. Route 42 from Sinheung-dong, Donghae-Baekbokryeong-dong, Jeongseon, also resumed traffic from 9 am.
National Road No. 7 and the coastal road connecting Gangneung to the East Sea have resumed traffic and reopening since the 6th, but from this day on, traffic without control is possible.
The Korea Railroad Corporation also decided to resume operation of the Gangneung-Donghae train, which had been suspended from 1pm on the same day. However, considering the situation in which many passengers have already made reservations to Gangneung Station for the Donghae Station KTX train, which has changed its operating section to Gangneung Station, it is decided to keep the departure and arrival stations as Gangneung Station until the last train on this day.
The Korea Railroad Corporation announced that one KTX train, 16 Nuriro trains, and nine sea trains were stopped due to the fire.
