The police inform that traffic disruptions are expected this Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the areas of Place de Neuve, Rues-Basses and Rive. Indeed, these are the promotions in the City of Geneva, from the official name of the Fête des écoles.
In the morning, the 1P and 2P classes, i.e. 3,300 students, will go to the Bastions to enjoy the rides. It will then be the turn of the 3P and 4P (3300 students), following the traditional parade all in disguises which will start at 2:30 p.m. Theme of this edition: “the 4 elements”.
The following axes will be severely disrupted and/or closed to traffic: rue de Candolle, rue du Conseil-Général, place de Neuve, boulevard Georges-Favon, rue de la Corraterie, rue François-Diday, rue Bovy-Lysberg, rue de Confederation, rue de la Croix-d’Or, rue Verdaine, rue Théodore-De-Bèze and boulevard Emile-Jacques-Dalcroze.
Access to the Saint-Antoine car park will remain authorized. The circulation of public transport will also be disrupted during this event. Diversions of lines are thus planned. For more details: www.tpg.ch.
