Traffic arrangements: The center of Athens is closed on Sunday for the Bicycle Tour

In particular, there will be a gradual stoppage of traffic and a ban on the stopping and parking of vehicles on the following avenues, squares and streets of the Municipality of Athens, as follows:

• During the hours 07:00 to 13:00:

  • Stadiou and in its section from Amerikas to Vass. Georgiou Avenue and on its perpendiculars to the first parallel street.
  • Pl. Constitution.
  • Filellini, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Vas. Georgiou A΄, along its entire length and on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.

• During the hours 08:00 to 13:00:

  • Vas. Amalias Ave., along its entire length and on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street and in the two (2) traffic streams.
  • Filellini, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Syngrou Ave., in its section from Ath. Diakou St. to Dion St. Aeropagitou and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street, traffic flow towards Amalias Avenue, as well as in the part of it from Dion Street. Aeropagitou to Vourvachi Street and its diagonals, to the first parallel street, traffic flow towards Poseidonos Avenue.
  • Vass. Olgas Ave., along its entire length.
  • Ath. Diakou, along its entire length.
  • Vourvachi, in its section from Kallirois Street to Syngrou Avenue and on its perpendiculars to the first parallel street.
  • Hatzichristou, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Veikou, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Gennaiou Kolokotroni, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Roumelis, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Boutier, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Arakynthos, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Panaitoliou, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Muson, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Garibaldis, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Aktaeo, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Akamantos, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Nileos, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Ermou, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • St. Incorporeal, in its section from Sarri Street to Ermou Street and its perpendiculars, to the first parallel street.
  • Metropolis, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Athena, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Omonia Square.
  • Stadium, in its section from Pl. Omonia up to Amerikis Street and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Piraeus, in the section from Iera Odos to Omonoia Square and on its perpendiculars to the first parallel road, traffic flow towards pl. Omonia.
  • El. Venizelou (University), along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Patision, in its section from Kodrigtonos Street to Panepistimiou Street and on its diagonals, up to the first parallel street in both traffic streams.
  • Veranzerou, in the part of it from Pl. Kaningos to September 3rd Street and on its diagonals, to the first parallel street.
  • September 3rd, in the part of it from Pl. Omonia up to Kodrigtonos street and on its diagonals, up to the first parallel street.
  • Kamaterou, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Vathi Square.
  • Marni, in its section from Vathi Square to Patision Street and on its perpendiculars, to the first parallel street.
  • Alexandras Avenue, in its section from Mavrommataion Street to Patision Street and on its perpendiculars to the first parallel street.
  • Academy, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Vas. Sofias Ave., in its section from Zakharov St. to Amalias Ave. and on its perpendiculars, up to the first parallel street in both traffic streams.
  • Kon/nou Avenue, in its section from Merkouri Street to Vas. Sofias Avenue and on its perpendiculars, up to the first parallel street, in the traffic flow towards Vass. Sofias Avenue.

• In addition, the vertical passage of vehicles will be prohibited from the route of the Bicycle Tour and for as long as the event lasts, except at the controlled intersection Vass. Sofias-Rigillis Avenue.

The Traffic Authority appeals to drivers, in order to serve them better and to avoid additional traffic problems, to avoid the passage of their vehicles on the above streets and boulevards during the mentioned time intervals and to follow the signals and instructions of the traffic controllers.
