A traffic accident occurred this Tuesday morning, shortly before 10 a.m., on the N 675, at the exit of Ville-du-Bois in the direction of Petit-thier (Vielsalm).
The driver of a semi-trailer lost control of his vehicle.
The truck left the roadway and rolled onto its side.
The uninjured driver
The driver got out of the vehicle himself. He was not injured.
We collected his testimony: “The left front tire burst following hitting a stone in the road. Luckily, no oncoming traffic was present when the truck veered off course and into the other lane of traffic before finish his race on the shoulder.”
The damaged truck belongs to the company Torlet et fils from Saint-Remy (Chimay, province of Hainaut).
The driver further clarifies: “I had almost arrived when the tire burst. Indeed, the Unilin company in the Burtonville zoning, where the logs had to be unloaded, is located a few hundred meters from the place of the accident. They will be delivered there by another company truck.”
