Burkina: Traders want government support to relieve consumers
Ouagadougou, August 13, 2022 (AIB)-The National Trades Union of Burkina (SYNACOMB) wished this Friday, the support of the government for the development of the local economy in order to be able to relieve the populations.
“The State must support us in developing the local economy, creating local wealth and producing locally. This will allow Burkinabè to have cheaper products, ”suggested the secretary general of the National Union of Traders of Burkina (SYNACOMB), Roch Donatien Nagalo.
Mr. Nagalo said he would like to see the agro-sylvo-pastoral actors of towns and villages organize themselves to allow the economy to be prosperous for the benefit of all.
“Humanity is going through an unprecedented crisis, all imported products are expensive, so we cannot import expensive and sell cheaper,” he explained.
The secretary general of the traders’ union spoke on Friday in Ouagadougou following an audience with the head of the Burkinabe government, Albert Ouédraogo.
He said that his structure came to present the difficulties experienced by the actors of the economy because, according to him, the traders are paying a heavy price in this aggravated security situation.
By the way, Roch Donatien Nagalo called on the State to fight once morest insecurity, resettle internally displaced persons and allow the economy to develop.
“We launch a solemn appeal to any honest Burkinabè that to err is human and all rulers have made mistakes, but let’s look straight at the point, correct the errors, make proposals for the love of the game”, he said. he concluded.
