A few days following the start of the “training camp”, the Rockets and the Thunder decided to carry out one of the largest exchanges of the year. No less than eight players are thus involved in this exchange, including the French Theo Maledonsilver medalist at the last European championship.
Here is what it gives according to the Houston Chronicle :
– Houston : arrivals of Theo Maledon, Derrick Favors, Moe Harkless and Ty Jerome, and a second round of the 2025 Draft.
– OKC : arrivals of Sterling Brown, David Nwaba, Trey Burke and Marquese Chriss.
Maledon will therefore find himself in Houston as an understudy for Kevin Porter Jr., and even if he is a real playmaker, it will be difficult to find playing time behind the whimsical back of the Rockets, considered one of the players majors of the group. For their part, Derrick Favors and Moe Harkless bring experience to a band that needs it.
We note that Brown, Burke and Chriss, who arrived from Dallas in Christian Wood’s exchange this summer, are already packing their bags. Same thing on the Thunder side for Harkless who had just arrived as a “medical joker” at OKC.
Finally, note that the Rockets plan to cut Ty Jerome.
