Trade fair organizers and tens of thousands of visitors braved the rain and mud

Even the sunglasses and straw hats that we got from the exhibition stands still had their place at the finale of the Šumava Fair yesterday. The sun even came out at times. Nevertheless, following a relatively dry and sensationally crowded Friday, the rain was omnipresent. “It’s enormous what our team had to do this year. We’ve never had such weather. We were able to set up around 100 additional volunteers to get the parking lot situation under control,” said Ulrichsberg’s trade fair president Josef Thaller early in the followingnoon yesterday. In particular, the Ulrichsberg and Ödenkirchen fire brigades got a good deal of work in the parking areas. In total, more than 500 volunteers were on their feet to offer local businesses a good showcase. “The exhibitors were consistently satisfied with the visit,” says Thaller happily. Even on the extremely rainy Saturday, thousands came to the economic show in the Bohemian Forest community.
