MF 8S is Tractor of the Year 2023/2024
Ribeirão Preto, May 2, 2023 – Massey Ferguson was the big winner of the 2023/2024 Tractor of the Year Award, with the MF 8S. The same model was chosen in the “Tractors over 200 hp” category. The brand also won, among machines up to 100 hp, with its MF 4707 Cabinado tractors, for the second consecutive year. The announcement took place on May 1st at Agrishow.
The MF 8S-265 is powered by the AGCO Power 7.4 liter six cylinder engine, the latest in engine technology. It reaches full power even at low revs such as 1500 rpm, offering excellent economy and quiet operation. New Dyna-7 automatic transmission provides easy and efficient operation with a total of 28 forward and 28 reverse speeds in four groups and seven non-stop gears

With an exclusive Protect-U design, the tractor has 24 centimeters of space between the cabin and the engine, isolating the internal environment from noise, heat and unwanted vibrations. With noise levels of just 68dB, it is one of the quietest cabins on the market, as well as the most comfortable, with an interior volume of 3.4m³, therefore one of the most spacious.
MF 4707 Tractor
The MF 4707 cab was designed to increase performance and versatility in field activities. It is equipped with the AGCO Power engine. The engine with electronic management, turbo and intercooler, promotes an intelligent burning that provides savings of up to 10% of fuel per hectare. Another positive point of the MF 4707 cab is the versatility of its 12×12 transmission – the only one on the market in this category – with mechanical or electro-hydraulic reversal. The transmission is the most modern and has an excellent cost-benefit ratio.
Ideal for silage, grain and horticulture, the model has the best working gear scaling on the market. With the Power Shuttle reverser, it is possible to perform forward-reverse shifting with the tractor in motion and without using the clutch. This tractor has a lift capacity of 3,000 kg and a flow rate of 65 lpm. The cabin has 360º visibility, providing comfort and safety at work.
Tractor of the Year Award Evaluators Are Teachers
The evaluation of the Tractor of the Year was carried out by a technical commission made up of PhD professors in the area of agricultural mechanization from important public universities in the country, such as the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Paulista State University (Unesp) of Jaboticabal.
