Two hurricanes will hit the Atlantic early next week.

Hurricane Lee is classified as force five and Margot as force one.

Parts of Hurricane Lee might hit the east coast of America.

Hurricane Lee, rated at force five, arrives Wind speeds of over 250 km/h and is expected to take a northwesterly route in the next few days. Because the current is very weak, it will move very slowly.

The future path is still unclear, but it is expected that the hurricane will head back out to sea before it makes landfall. However, if this happens too late, there is a possibility of it brushing once morest parts of the mainland. However, once Hurricane Lee is picked up by the polar jet, it transforms into an Arctic storm.

Hurricane Margot is heading towards Europe

Tropical Storm Margot formed in the Atlantic and eventually developed into a Category one hurricane. It initially moves west/northwest and finally further north into the westerly wind zone. It is therefore impossible that it will reach the coastal areas of America. However, it hits the Azores and then moves on towards Europe. Where exactly the hurricane is headed is still unclear at the moment, but we will definitely continue to keep a close eye on it.

The strength of hurricanes is measured according to a scale developed by meteorologists Herbert Saffir and Robert Simpson: A category one hurricane reaches up to 153 kilometers per hour. Level two applies up to a speed of 177, level three up to 208 and level four up to 251. Devastating damage is threatened by a hurricane of the highest category five, which rotates with a wind speed of more than 251 kilometers per hour.

Hurricanes often gain strength as they move over the sea. They quickly lose their strength over land because there is no supply of warm, moist air masses.
