Tunisian Sami Trabelsi, coach of the team, decided Al Sailiya who competes in Qatar Stars LeagueOn Monday, he withdrew from the team’s training, following nine years of working at the head of the technical staff, and sent a letter to the club’s management to inform them of his withdrawal, and the message was reviewed in the Qatari Al-Kass channel.
Trabelsi informed his team management of his withdrawal from his duties, without specifying the reasons that prompted him to take this sudden decision, just three weeks following the start of the Qatari Football League.
The defeat once morest Qatar SC, the second since the start of the competition this season, does not seem to be the reason for the resignation, especially since the competitions are still in their infancy, in addition to the fact that Al-Sailiya witnessed a crisis of results last season that did not push the Tunisian coach to leave the club.
According to sources close to the coach, the Tunisian coach was angry because of the decision of the exploration committee to reduce his salary by 50%, a decision that Trabelsi considered unfair for his great efforts with Al Sailiya, especially following he led the team to win the first titles in his career.
According to the source, Trabelsi may change his decision in the coming hours, as the club’s management is making efforts to persuade him to continue to lead the team in the next stage, pending a final settlement.
Trabelsi is considered the oldest coach in the Qatari league, and the most continuous at the head of one team.
