Trabelsi leaves Al Sailiya following 10 years, and this is his new role in the team

Qatari club Al-Sailiya announced, on Sunday, that it had reached an agreement with its Tunisian coach, Sami Trabelsi, to terminate the contract between the two parties, following a long experience that started since the 2013-2014 season.

Al-Sailiya revealed, in a statement on its various accounts on the communication sites, that Trabelsi will assume the task of technical advisor, provided that a new coach is signed to lead the team until the end of the current season.

Al-Sailiya praised the results achieved by the team during Sami Trabelsi’s supervision, including winning the Ooredoo Cup, and winning third place for the first time in its history, which qualified the team to participate for the first time in its history in the Asian Supplement. Trabelsi also won the best coach award in the Qatar Stars League.

Trabelsi began training Al-Sailiya club, following he led the Tunisian national team to crown the African Championship in 2011, and to participate in the African Cup finals in 2012 and 2013, before he resigned from his duties at the beginning of 2013.

Trabelsi is considered one of the most conservative coaches in the Arab leagues, as the experience at the head of the Al Sailiya team extended for nearly 10 years, which represented an important shift in the team’s career, whose results this season recorded a decline, and it occupies the last place in the league.
