Toyota to present GR GT3 Concept and unveil new Yaris WRC

The 2022 Toyota Gazoo Racing season will officially launch in the coming days. Currently in the final preparations for this new year of competition, the Japanese manufacturer will take advantage of the Tokyo Auto Salon (January 14 to 16) to exhibit some of its recent cars but also to present its next weapons.

During this show organized in the Japanese capital, the Toyota Gazoo Racing will finally lift the veil on its new mount which will represent the brand in the WRC World Rally Championship: the Yaris Rally1 hybrid. The TGR recently completed its development work with its pilots (Elfyn Evans, Kalle Rovanperä, Takamoto Katsuta, Sébastien Ogier and Esapekka Lappi) and is now heading for Monte-Carlo, the first round of the 2022 season (January 20 to 23).

In addition, Toyota will be exhibiting a GR GT3 Concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon. One ” concept car dedicated to motor racing that integrates the knowledge and refined technologies acquired in the field of motorsports. The general public will also be able to see the new GR Yaris as standard there.
