Toyota do Brasil announced some changes for the 2024 line of its large SW4 SUV, one of the brand’s best sellers in the country. The vehicle received a new entry-level version with 5 and 7 seat options and some design changes.
The new entry-level version of the Toyota SW4 is no longer called SRX and becomes SRX Platinum. This variant of the SUV comes with options for 5 or 7 seats and now sports the same design pattern as the Diamond, the top-of-the-line configuration of the SW4 series.
Therefore, the SRX Platinum has a new, smaller front grille, as well as renewed bumpers and fog lights. There are still glossy black details on the body. In turn, the rear part only received a touch-up on the bumper and trunk lid.
“The arrival of the SRX Platinum configuration reinforces the portfolio of the leading SUV in its segment due to its versatility: a spacious and practical vehicle sufficient for family activities, differentiated for corporate or urban use and resistant to any off-road adventure”, stated Toyota, in an official statement.
Inside, almost nothing has changed. The new SW4 has a black finish, a 9″ multimedia center with connection for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a JBL Premium sound system with 8 speakers, as well as a 360° camera to make maneuvering easier.
Regarding safety, the new SW4 maintains features such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), autonomous emergency braking, lane change and departure alert, blind spot monitor, among other onboard technologies.

Finally, it is worth highlighting that the mechanical part remains the same. Therefore, the SW4 maintained the 2.8 four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, which delivers 204 hp of power and 50.9 mkgf of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic and the car has 4×4 traction.
