So far, only Toyota Land Cruiser 300 gasoline SUVs have participated in our comparative tests, and for the “fitting” we took the option with a V6 3.4 biturbodiesel with a capacity of 299 hp. This Toyota also has a ten-speed “automatic” and permanent all-wheel drive. Our version of the GR Sport includes locking of both cross-axle differentials and suspension with active stabilizers E-KDSS.

According to the official price list, Land Cruiser prices at the end of March started at 7.3 million rubles. Our most expensive version of the GR Sport was estimated at 9.6 million. But dealers didn’t have such prices even last year: in fact, the “three hundredth” is at least 13 million rubles, and for cars in the GR Sport configuration they ask for 17 million and more.

It is generally accepted that the Land Cruiser personifies in the automotive world everything that we traditionally do not like in Autoreview. But reread “fitting” twenty years ago. Then the dark green “weaving” was liked by everyone without exception, even Divakov! I also like the dark green “weave” – ​​mine. Its C-pillar bears the “50th Anniversary” badge, and the new Land Cruiser has appeared for its seventieth anniversary. What has changed in twenty years?

There is still a frame and a bridge, and now there are not two interlocks, but three. The rear suspension travel from huge became gigantic, and acceleration from phlegmatic turned into valiant. Inside is simple plastic, large buttons and a chair that does not hint at being overweight. It seems that nothing has changed, but as soon as you start to go, you notice that something important has gone – the desire to go somewhere. I perfectly understand why Podorozhansky then left for half an hour, and returned only in the evening, having wound more than one hundred kilometers – this happened to me more than once. The Land Cruiser 100 is one of the best mobile rooms to think about, especially now that the thug-business image has faded over the years. Heavier in every sense, the “two hundredth” is less suitable for this role, and the new Cruiser is not at all suitable. After all, in order to think about your own, you need to move away from what is happening under the wheels, and the suspension of the “three hundredth” is not capable of this.
