Toyota Expands Charging Station Network in Strategic Locations – 2024-07-13 19:25:42

PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) has once more added Privilege Charging Spot and Privilege Parking Spot facilities. Now, these facilities are available at Gandaria City Mall, South Jakarta.

This facility adds the total number of Toyota Ultra Fast Charging spots to 4 points. Previously, similar facilities have been present in several public areas with strategic locations, namely at ASHTA Mall Jakarta, Rest Area KM 456A, and Rest Area KM 695A.

Apart from the public areas, there are also 111 dealers with charging spot including 3 that use Ultra Fast Charger at Toyota branches in Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Banda Aceh.

With a total of 115 points in dealerships and public areas, the facilities charging spot Toyota is increasingly complete and connected in various strategic locations. This is intended so that people who use Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) Toyota can drive without worrying regarding running out of battery power on the road.

Charging spot was built so that Toyota and Lexus BEV and PHEV customers don’t have to worry regarding range anxiety or worry regarding running out of battery before reaching the destination. Charging spot facilities at authorized Toyota dealers are trying to cover customers in urban areas, plus similar facilities at the Trans Java Toll Road Rest Area for intercity mobility, along with Privilege Charging Spots and Privilege Parking Spots at large malls in Jakarta to serve the lifestyle area,” said Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Anton Jimmi Suwandy, last week.

According to him, TAM will continue to provide facilities charging spot in various strategic locations to reach more electrified vehicle customers.

Currently, charging spots at official Toyota outlets are located in various regions. The details are, 16 points on Sumatra Island, 85 points on Java Island, 1 point on Kalimantan Island, 7 points on Sulawesi Island, and 2 points on Bali and Nusa Tenggara Islands. This number already covers 34% of the total 329 official Toyota dealers throughout Indonesia.

Each outlet has 1 AC Charger unit with a power of 22 kW, while DC Ultra Fast Charging (UFC) with a power of 120 kW is available at the official Toyota dealer Nasmoco Bantul Yogyakarta, Nasmoco Majapahit Semarang, and 150kW at Dunia Barusa, Banda Aceh. Toyota plans to continue to add charging spot facilities in many other areas, considering the increasing enthusiasm of the community as the popularity of Toyota xEV increases.

To support intercity mobility and further increase BEV and PHEV range, Toyota operates UFC at Rest Area KM 456A Salatiga-Surabaya in collaboration with PLN and Rest Area KM 695A Jombang-Surabaya Trans Java Toll Road. The facilities provided are 1 Ultra Fast Charging unit equipped with 3 types of gun chargers, CCS2, CHAdeMO and AC Type 2 (22 kW) which can be utilized by Toyota customers.
