Despite inflation and constantly rising prices, our salaries may not increase in 2023, in 2024, but also later. The reason ? The law of 96, which protects the competitiveness of our companies once morest those of countries neighboring Belgium.
According to L’Echo and Le Soir, the salaries of Belgian employees are far too high for the Central Economic Council compared to those of our neighbours. We are talking regarding an additional 6% here.
It is therefore to prevent Belgian companies from going abroad that we should ignore this wage increase to be negotiated during the next interprofessional agreement (AIP), which does not necessarily please the unions.
Note that this increase is not linked to indexation, which is automatic in our country.
