A fourth dose?
Following the Council of Ministers on May 11, 2022, Olivier Veran raised the possibility of a fourth widespread dose to the whole population. Nevertheless, this new booster vaccination campaign will depend on the new variants and of their more or less dangerous profiles against existing vaccines.
This fourth dose raises several questions, including period and the targeted audience : “The question of a vaccine booster could arise next fall if ever a wave were to emerge”, adds Olivier Véran. However, no additional information was given, including the intended audience: will the booster dose be intended only for fragile people or at the whole population ?
