OnePlus is reportedly planning to introduce a micro-quad curved display on its upcoming high-end and mid-range smartphones. The curved effect would thus appear on the four edges. This aesthetic shift should notably be taken by the OnePlus 13.

The OnePlus 12 was released in France on February 6. The high-end smartphone is notably adorned with a large 6.82-inch QuadHD+ panel curved on both sides. As we detail in our review of the OnePlus 12, this overhang effect gives the impression of using a mini infinity pool, with the image occupying 91% of the front surface. The manufacturer obviously plans to emphasize this aspect even more on its next flagship.
According to leaker Yogesh Brar, OnePlus and Oppo are planning to introduce a new micro-quad curved display on their upcoming phones. This would be suitable for both flagship smartphones and mid-range devices. The word “quad” suggests that the screen will be curved at the edges of all four sides. Typically, smartphones are only curved on their longest sides.

This aesthetic change would mark a real break, offering a more fluid transition between the screen and the chassis. Obviously, this is just rumor for the moment. Despite the seriousness of the source, we cannot trust its information blindly. Especially since the OnePlus 13 is still far from its release date, the OnePlus 12 has only just been launched in our region.
While the future flagship should arrive in early 2025 (or even as early as December in China), other leaks have already splashed the specialized press. Still in the design department, Digital Chat Station notably revealed that the distinctive rear photo module of the OnePlus 12 will undergo a redesign on the next smartphone. Furthermore, the OnePlus 13 is expected to be one of the first phones to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.
