28 years have passed since the musical “The Jungle Book” first appeared on the stage in Israel, and last night the premiere was held for the shiny new production. The original actors star in the main roles: Tovia Tzafir in the role of Blue the bear, Shashi Keshet in the role of Bagira the panther, Eli Denkar in the role of Shirhan the tiger, Yossi Toledo in the role of Ka the snake, Avi Yaffe in the role of Pakli the squirrel, and Finny Kidron in the role of the leader of the elephants. With events in the spirit of the times: the Storytelling Festival returns for the 31st time

12 children will alternately play the role of Mowgli – played by Tom Avni and Usheri Cohen – and of Bana played by Nalia Tzachman. “The Jungle Book”, which over the years has become an integral part of Israeli culture and childhood, is reaching a new generation of children this year who will experience Mowgli’s journey through the thick of the jungle in a symphony of sights and sounds, with the participation of a cast of more than 30 actors. The musical was staged at the Performing Arts Center for two weeks only.
