Tournament in Massachusetts: the Grail bows in the final

The Graal M12 D1 formation was recently in action at the Lucky Lobster Tournament in suburban Boston. She took part in this tournament in the Pee Wee Major class, an age category one year older than the team.

All the players were able to adapt well to the slightly more robust and intense style of play of the Americans. It must also be said that the difference in height and build vis-à-vis the older players was striking.

The Grail faced, in the preliminary round, the 95 Select Giants of Providence, the National AAA of Syracuse as well as the Minutemans Flames.

In the semi-finals, the team played a very good game filled with emotions before snatching a 4-1 victory once morest Syracuse. It was in the final that the Grail lost by the score of 5 to 2 once morest the Minutemans Flames.

Team coach Pierre-Luc Lessard was particularly proud of his players. “The players never gave up and they gave it their all on the ice in all five games. It was a lot of emotions and a great team spirit was present throughout the tournament,” he said.

Note that the M15 D2 was also in action at the Pierrefonds tournament. They were unable to qualify for the semi-final round.
