The incident happened on Sunday in the seaside resort of General Luna on the island of Siargao, almost 800 kilometers southeast of the capital Manila. As the “Bild” newspaper reports, the inappropriate actions had already begun during the day, when the four bathed naked in the 29-degree sea – although this is forbidden in the Philippines.

The tourists were drunk, said a local police spokeswoman for the German Press Agency. The sex scenes would have taken place in front of other guests – including children.
A child ran away, fell and hit his head on the ground, a police report said. Another child had to vomit. The minors were traumatized by what they saw. “The actions of the foreigners have insulted, outraged, shocked and traumatized the other guests of the resort,” said the police report.
The local security forces finally arrested the four in a hotel four kilometers away. “We do not condone lewd, lascivious and scandalous acts in public, especially in the presence of children,” Mayor Sol Matugas said. The group is not allowed to leave the island for the time being.
