WORLD.- The vacation of a Chinese couple in a volcanic park in Indonesia ended in tragedywell the woman fell into an active volcano and died, the incident occurred when her husband was taking a photograph of her.
Last Saturday the 31-year-old woman, identified as Huang Lihong, was with her husband on a guided tour of Ijena volcanic park in East Java, when he fell into the crater.
The couple climbed to the top of the active volcanoknown for its popular phenomenon of “blue Fire”, to be able to witness the sunrise.
However, the woman decided to take a photo so she posed near the crater, despite the tour guide’s warnings.
The woman began to get closer to the edge of the crater to take more photos, but accidentally stepped on his own clothestripping and causing the woman to fall into the crater of the volcano, losing life when hitting the rocks.
A photograph circulating in local media showed Lihong apparently posing with leg raised and clouds of sulfur gas behind her just before her fatal fall.
Authorities revealed that it took the rescue team approximately two hours to recover the body due to the rugged location.
