Vung Tau City Urban Construction and Environmental Services Joint Stock Company (VESCO) said that the amount of waste generated on weekdays in Vung Tau city is regarding 385 tons. However, from the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year onwards, the amount of waste generated increased sharply, regarding 500-650 tons/day.
The company has mobilized more than 500 workers and dozens of people to step up garbage collection at crowded places. Particularly at the beach area, the Company arranges 60 workers to be on duty regularly to collect all kinds of waste.
