The second round of the “Tourism for All” program foresees more potential beneficiaries, for the start of which the Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni signed the Program Agreement.
As emphasized in a related announcement, the new cycle of the program that is on track for implementation, will utilize increased resources, as the unused funds of the previous cycle will be added to the new program, as foreseen by a recent provision of the law brought by the Ministry of Tourism.
As the Ministry of Tourism emphasizes, the program will concern more potential beneficiaries, as the income criteria are expanded, while new, sensitive social groups, such as those with many children, are added to the beneficiaries who will receive an enhanced amount. At the same time, the amount that all drawn beneficiaries will receive will be increased compared to the 1st cycle.
The application platform will be activated in January of the new year and thus the program will be spread over the next two winter seasons, so that the demand from Greek citizens can be extended to the mountainous regions of the country.
According to the protothema, the new cycle of the program has a strong social sign, but at the same time developmental in terms of sustainability, i.e. in accordance with the new strategy of Greek tourism, for fair tourism development with measure and balance, as emphasized by the Ministry of Tourism.
