All drivers were stopped by the race control. The street was cleared with the help of the gendarmerie. At the time of neutralization, the Italian Alberto Bettiol was around 20 seconds ahead of a chasing group of 24 riders, the peloton around leader Tadej Pogacar was almost seven and a half minutes behind. With these time intervals, the race was continued after the interruption after about 10 minutes.
At the end of the 148 km from Morzine to Megève, Magnus Cort prevailed against Australian Nick Schultz in the photo finish.
