30 actions to refresh Toulouse
Among the key actions of the plan Toulouse + fraîchethe city plans to plant 20 000 trees this year, open 11 parks until 11 p.m., museums and public facilities until 8 p.m. It will also install 20 shade structures, accelerate de-artificialization in priority areas of the city. In 2024, this will mean 51,730 m2 of de-artificialized soil, the equivalent of more than eight rugby pitches.the City Hall says.

Reduce the albedo of the city

At the same time, Toulouse is developing refreshment points with the experimental installation of eight gourd fountains. A QR Code at the entrance to parks, playgrounds and metro stations allows geolocation and online mapping of the 364 city fountains. And for the young and the most vulnerable, the city is installing additional air mixers in schools and leisure centers with a view to generalizing them in all classes by 2026. The objective is also to create around forty additional Oasis courses by 2026, including around fifteen this year.
