Runners and walkers in solidarity with cancer research were a total of 2,580 yesterday to take part in the 6th edition of the Onco Run 2024 on the Toulouse Oncopole University Cancer Institute (IUCT) site.

A good-natured event organized by the Haute-Garonne Cancer League as part of World Cancer Day. The organizers were able to raise 31,920 euros to support medical research once morest cancer in the department.
Four events for participants to choose from
The hybrid format race (face-to-face + distance learning) took place on the Future Health Campus – Oncopole in Toulouse. Participants were spoiled for choice: a 10 km timed mixed walking event, a 5 km untimed mixed walking event, a 5 km untimed mixed walking event. Finally, a non-timed mixed walking event to be completed remotely without time or route constraints. The mixed walking event was won for women by Fiona German (38’54) and for men by Pierre Devimeux (32’54).
