Tottenham Hotspur (England), who have confirmed their place in the Champions League next season, have signed Croatian winger Ivan Perisic.
Tottenham Hotspur announced on the 1st (Korean time) that they had agreed to a contract with Perisic through their official website and would join the team next month when the contract with Inter Milan ends. The contract runs until 2024.
A former youth team member of Soshaw, France, Perisic has played for Inter Milan since 2015 following playing for Club Brugge, Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg. At Inter Milan, he developed a relationship with current Tottenham manager Antonio Conte. Perisic, who has been playing for the Croatian national team since 2011 and has already played more than 100 A matches, led the team to the runner-up at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The addition of Perisic will further strengthen Tottenham’s power. As wingers, Son Heung-min and Deyan Kulushekski can be replaced and the physical strength of existing players can be arranged. Wingback digestion is also possible. At Tottenham, which mainly uses the 3-4-3 formation, there is a possibility that he will be given a role to support Son Heung-min or Kuluschengsky. It is also noteworthy that he will participate in the Korean tour to be held next month.
“When I started my professional career, I wanted to come to the English Premier League many times, and the moment has finally come,” Perisic said on the club’s website. “I like to play hard for the team. I can play multiple positions at Tottenham.” “It’s an honor to be able to work with a coach like Conte who is passionate and wants to win once more. I look forward to the match.”
