Tottenham, Bissouma suspended by the club: in a video he was breathing laughing gas

The midfielder of the Tottenham, Yves Bissoumawill miss the start of the Premier League season after being suspended from the club following an investigation into footage showing him while inhaled nitrous oxidealso known as laughing gas. Bissouma himself posted a video on Snapchat last weekend showing himself inhaling the substance, a Class C drug under British law. The Mali international apologised and admitted his “serious lack of judgement”.

Following an internal investigation, Bissouma was handed a one-match suspension and will miss Tottenham’s opening Premier League game away to Leicester on Monday.

“He is a player for this club, he has a responsibility to the club, to his team-mates, to our supporters, to everyone associated with the club, and he has failed in those duties,” the Spurs manager said. Ange Postecoglou. “He won’t be available on Monday, but beyond that, there’s also a bit of trust that needs to be built between me and Biss and between Biss and the group. That’s what he needs to work hard on, to get that back,” he added.

Nitrous oxide is used in medicine as an anesthetic and pain reliever. Excessive use can cause damage to the brain and nervous tissue.
