TotalEnergies will sell its Benelux service stations: the situation worries the 1000 Belgian employees of the group

The TotalEnergies group has announced that it will resell its 2,200 service stations in Germany and Benelux. The Canadian group Couche Tard is the buyer. It is a chain of multi-service supermarkets. An extraordinary works council is also taking place this Wednesday morning.

The situation worries the thousand Belgian workers. Today, the unions want wage and labor guarantees. “The only job guarantee for now is one year“, indicates Ludovic Pineur, the CNE Industrie permanent secretary for Brussels and Walloon Brabant. “All the advantages that oil employees have been able to acquire in the Total Energie company are for one year only.
