Creative Assembly, known for the Total War series, is developing something new and secret on the Unreal Engine 5. It may have something to do with the space game that the studio has been working on for some time.
According to job openings posted by Creative Assembly and SEGA, the studio is working on a new project within a new franchise. Now she needs a senior programmer, and the development is on the Unreal Engine 5. This will be the studio’s first game on the engine from Epic Games.
Considering that Creative Assembly is not such a big studio, it is likely that the position is related to the same team that worked on the new FPS game following Alien Isolation. And since quite a lot of time has passed since then, the first details may appear as early as this year, if you’re lucky.
It is doubtful that the studio will use the engine for their new strategy series, since their own engine, while not perfect, is familiar to the staff.
