How does a solar eclipse affect people’s psyche?
The new April eclipse deserves special attention due to the fact that it will be observed over a very large area by regarding 31 million people; it is difficult to imagine how many people will be busy with one thing all over the world.
According to recent research, a total solar eclipse can have a profound effect on the human psyche, particularly by inducing feelings of awe, humility and unity with others. Whether this is good or bad – everyone decides for themselves based on their feelings.
As intriguing as scientific experiments are, they don’t necessarily reflect people’s spontaneous reactions to natural phenomena outside the laboratory – something that worried Sean Goldie when he undertook his doctoral work on human responses.
“People may become more friendly as they begin to feel more socially connected to other people and to their community,” says scientist Sean Goldie.

According to Dutcher Keltner, a psychologist at the University of Berkeley, a solar eclipse can calm the “inner critic” and motivate a person to open up to the universe, allowing our minds to see the patterns of life and the magic that can happen to us.
At the same time, as Goldie notes, the effects of the positive influence were relatively short-lived – regarding 24 hours.
This is also a good way for scientists to study people’s reactions, which can show the rate of posting photos and videos during a solar eclipse.
In fact, it does not bring anything bad with it, but it allows you to feel something new and helps scientists do new research.
