The Accountability Court of Islamabad approved the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi for another 7 days in the new reference of Tosha Khana.
Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich held a hearing in Adiala Jail regarding the new reference of Tosha Khana against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
Founder PTI and Bushra Bibi were produced before the court on completion of 8-day physical remand.
The NAB team submitted the progress report related to the investigation of the accused in the court and the investigation officer of NAB requested the remand of the accused for another 14 days.
The accountability court has approved the physical remand of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi for another 7 days in the new case of Tosha Khana.
It should be noted that on July 14, the Accountability Court of Islamabad approved the 8-day physical remand of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the new reference of Tosha Khan.
The registrar’s office’s objections to the application against the arrest in the new Toshakhana case are over
On the other hand, the Islamabad High Court removed the objections of the registrar office on the petition of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi against the arrest in the new Tosha Khana case, while the court directed to set the petition for hearing.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Thaman Rifat Imtiaz heard the application, during the hearing the court was informed about the objection of the Registrar’s Office.
The court removed the objections of the registrar’s office and directed to schedule the application for hearing.
An objection was raised by the Registrar’s Office as to how an application can be filed in the Islamabad High Court during physical remand.
Founder PTI and Bushra Bibi have filed a petition against the arrest in the new NAB case of Tosha Khana.
It should be remembered that the federal government had issued the notification of the jail trial of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi for the new reference of Tosha Khana.
It was stated that in view of the law and order situation, if the NAB court deems it necessary, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi should be tried in jail.
A day before this (July 13), NAB had arrested Imran Khan and his wife in a new reference of Tosha Khana immediately after getting bail in the Iddat Nikah case.
According to the inquiry report of NAB, the new case is related to possession and sale of 10 valuable gifts including 7 watches.
Earlier, when Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Omar Ayub and other PTI leaders reached the gate of Adiala Jail, they were informed about the arrest of the former Prime Minister and his wife in a new reference.
