Toronto: A passenger jumped out of a plane following the door was forced open just before departure. The incident took place at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada. According to the New York Post report, the passenger jumped out of the Air Canada flight that was ready to leave for Dubai on January 8th.

The passenger, who boarded the plane with other passengers, instead of sitting on the seat, following some time, the door of the plane was forced open and jumped down. He fell 20 feet from the Boeing 747 plane and sustained serious injuries. Later, the authorities called the police and emergency services agencies. The flight was delayed for regarding six hours following the incident, according to the Air Canada website. According to Air Canada, the reason for the flight delay was due to the crew attending to the passenger who jumped from the plane and other things that happened following the incident.

An airline spokesperson told the news agency that an investigation into the incident is underway. The airline says that the boarding procedures and cabin operating procedures as per the law have been completed. The Greater Toronto Airports Authority also confirmed the incident. The airport authority said that they have completed the procedures with the airline and other agencies including the police and faced an emergency situation.
