In Oberfladnitz, a cadastral municipality of Weitersfeld in the Horn district, a tornado passed through the town on Saturday afternoon. According to media reports, several roofs were covered. There was significant property damage. The natural event was limited to the village, which has around 70 inhabitants. “A huge gust of wind” rose, wrote the “Lower Austrian News” (“NÖN”) online.
The tornado is likely to have moved from the fields to the small cadastral community and drawn an approximately 20-meter-wide swath, the ORF Lower Austria reported. No injuries were reported.
