Torey Krug will be missing from the St. Louis Blues for a longer period of time

Torey Krug was placed on the lay-time casualty list by the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday with a lower-body injury. The defenseman, who posted two assists in 22:57 ice time in the Blues’ last game, a 5-4 shootout loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, is expected to be out for at least six weeks. After that, his condition will be reassessed.

Because he was placed on the long-term injury list, Krug will miss at least 24 days and ten games. So far this season, Krug has recorded 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 31 appearances. He ranks fourth on the team for average ice time per game (19:37) and shots blocked (43).

Defenseman Tyler Tucker was recalled to the Blues’ NHL roster by the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League on Tuesday. He has 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 24 AHL games and has had four games this season for St. Louis without a point.

The Blues host the Toronto Maple Leafs this Tuesday (8 pm ET, NHL.tv, Wed. 2 pm ET).
